Mustang History
In 1966, Ford produced over 600'000 Mustangs (making it their most succesful car ever). Most of the Mustangs produced where with very basic equipment. They came with several engine alternatives, everything from a straight 6-cylinder to the 270 hp Hi-Performance V8 (called the K-code). Very few cars where equipped with the 4-speed manual top loader gear box.
This cars history
This Ford Mustang 1966 GT Coupe was purchased in December 2008 from Palm Springs, California from the classic car dealer/action firm The Electric Garage. It arrived in Geneva, Switzerland in March 2009 and was fully registered and homologated in June 2009. It was previously owned by Mr. Hansen, a classic car collector who bought the Mustang as his wife's weekend driver. It is believed that this is a true factory GT Mustang (GT equipped directly from the factory) although it has not been verified. Unfortunately the owners prior to Mr. Hansen is unknown. This is however a true California Black plate (orginal number plate from 1966), which makes the car unique.
